NetSpeed is actively seeking an experienced network and security Engineer to join our Managed Services team; currently servicing a broad range of customers across all market segments.

We have been successful in building a diverse client base across Hospitality, Large Public Venues, Financial Institutions and Global Multinationals and as part of our team, you will be exposed to multiple vendor technologies including, HPE Aruba and Fortinet. We are looking for someone who can make an important contribution in all stages of projects from the initial engagement right through to delivery and support.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with other engineers and project teams to assess customer requirements and recommend solutions.
Design and deployment of wired and wireless networks to meet customer requirements.
Design and deployment of network and security solutions such as firewalls, IDS and IPS.
Provide L2 and L3 incident resolution for all network and security escalations from NetSpeed Service Desk.
Assess existing network and security solutions and identify improvements and enhancements utilising industry best practices.
Mentor other team members to enhance their network and security knowledge.
Assist in the development and go-to-market strategy for NetSpeed network and security solutions.
Provide presales support to NetSpeed Account Managers.
Contribute to the improvement of alerting and incident handling procedures.
Act as technical lead for key accounts.

Requirements

Proven experience in the design, deployment and support of Network and Security solutions.
Excellent knowledge of wireless technologies.
Excellent knowledge of security technologies.
HP Aruba certification/Fortinet certification.
Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
Advanced network troubleshooting
Excellent knowledge of network protocols.
Proficiency in MS Applications such as MS Visio and MS Project.
Proficiency with wireless survey tools such as Ekahau.
